Open journeys, shared foundations
· OpenUJI
Why OpenUJI puts people and open standards at the centre of user journeys.
A user journey describes how someone moves through an experience. It connects what a person is trying to do with the steps, choices and outcomes they encounter along the way.
Those journeys shape how we live, work and connect. The Open User Journey Initiative starts from a simple commitment: digital experiences should respect the people using them.
Human first
Technology should adapt to people. A journey should be understandable and support what someone actually needs to accomplish. Our manifesto sets out the human-first and open-standards principles behind this work.
A shared way to describe journeys
Open standards make it possible to describe journeys in ways that can be understood across tools and teams. User Journey Graph (UJG) is the specification family developed through OpenUJI.
UJG brings together documents about journey structure, execution and measurement. Its published material includes working drafts; readers should check the status of the document they are using.
